In light of my current shin splint situation and setting the stage for tomorrows ‘Featured Friday’ I would like to share with you a book that I am reading. Born To Run by Christopher McDougall is a book about the Tarahumara tribe of northern Mexico. Located in the Cooper Canyons, this tribe is known for their athletic prowess and mystery. Living in caves and migrating constantly the Tarahumara are difficult to find. McDougall tells a story about this relatively unknown beautiful culture and how it relates to modern American running.

I am into this book not only because I am a runner, but because the Tarahumara are so mysterious and interesting. Gaining insight into uncharted territory and cultures is a captivating discovery.
